Hello there,

my name is Mesi, I am the owner and creator behind Shelights. I have been making candles for 5 years (as a business), starting with beeswax candles, then slowly expending to scented ones. My father is a beekeeper in Hungary, so I have been surrounded by beeswax ever since I was a child. I made my first rolled beeswax candles when I was 5. 

As I got older, I thought - why not take it to the next level, and I started experimenting with different types of pillar candles, with my own paintings on them.

Then I got into scented candles too. I have tried and tested 70+ different scented oils to choose my favourites. I find it very interesting, how each person has different preferences, and how scents can evoke different sensations, associations in the person.

I have recently ventured into skincare too: I have dry skin and I am very prone to eczema. So having control over what goes into my products is very important for me!
